You can tie your rod with a cord and shoelace knot with one bow. Tug on the tag to undo it. Remember when you were tying your shoelaces and pulled one bow too far ?? That's what I mean.

Hi Richard Gene! Great video (as always). I was just wondering about releasing carp. As an Alabama fisherman, I had always been under the impression that if you catch a carp, you either arnt supposed or arnt legally allowed to put it back in the water. Am I right about that? Or is that only silver carp? I'm not clear on the rules. Thanks!

I wish you could come fish where we fish, cause that bait never works an the yams an oats an cereal bait for carp you posted is false too. Your fishing on a boat an where thousands of fish hang out all the time! The carp bait turned to cement when it got wet.

Be cautious with the skip jack chunks and pieces left behind if you cut it up where you're going to be active on the bank. Skip Jack(as well as others) can draw water moccasins to it. My experience was just before dark. One came back a little later. I'm not afraid of them, but I don't want to deal with one, if I don't have too. Lol.

Up here in Seattle we have a lake that's 240 acres it's called green lake and it's got 40 pound carp in it I've seen people catch them and take them home and they batter them n deep fry them but I don't eat any fish that don't eat other fish I'm funny like that and they look like my buddie with out his glasses

Up here in Washington we use cheese cloth to wrap it and tie it on the line with stretchy string with corn in it to here fishy fishy fishy

As a kid we did a lot of carp fishing, sometimes for bait sometimes to eat and sometimes for fun. Definitely good fighters. I made my dough bait out of a mix of corn meal, molasses, and flour. I'd grab some cottonwood fuzz and stir that in, those fibers were great for keeping the dough on your hook longer.

Richard is fun to watch. He enjoys fishing and Canada loves his antics.

We used to use Wheatie Balls for carps, get a handful get it wet crush and mold into a big ball as it's drying some add vanilla extract. Tear off enough to make a ball just enough to cover the hook, carp loved it! Golden Torpedoes! God bless all.
